Our drilling and tapping operations create the precise mounting holes, cable gland entry points, and threaded fastening features that are essential to every luminaire assembly. Using CNC drilling centres and pillar drilling machines with precision-ground tooling, we maintain positional accuracy and thread quality across all production volumes — from prototype quantities to high-volume production batches.
Thread tapping is performed with high-quality HSS (High-Speed Steel) and carbide taps, with automated tapping heads that control torque and speed for consistent thread formation in aluminium, steel, and brass. Thread gauges verify every critical threaded feature, ensuring that mounting brackets attach securely, cable glands seal properly against IP-rated ingress protection requirements, and driver compartments close with reliable mechanical integrity throughout the installed life of the luminaire.
